According to the newly released SHFE Standardized Warrants Management Regulations and the detailed application rules, SHFE is to officially launch its electronic warrants management system, the first of its kind in mainland China.

The system, which literally makes warrants ’paperless’, is a comprehensive information management network that connects the exchange, designated delivery warehouses, members and investors. Its functions cover all the business aspects including deliver-in, warrants generation, delivery, EFP, application, collateralization and transferring of standardized warrants. Warrants information users can share information more efficiently,eg, they could access the information via internet. The system can completely substitute the functionality of the existing paper-based warrants management mechanism.

The system now is in the testing stage.
