Shanghai Futures Exchange, together with Shanxi Administrative Office on Smelting Industry, Shanxi Non-ferrous Metals Society and Shanxi Sanli Futures Co, held a seminar on the aluminum market conditions in 2006 in Taiyuan, Shanxi province. 60 representatives in the aluminum industry of Shanxi attended the seminar.

The presentations were mainly about how the middle and downstream aluminum enterprises use futures market to dissipate the price fluctuation risks, how they are able to stabilize the production and other issues.
