A seminar about Information System Risk Control for FCMs was held in Shanghai Futures Mansion on 31st March, during which Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) signed contracts with the first batch of users of its Disaster-Backup Sharing System.
The system is a conglomerate of backup systems which will support the operation of FCMs’ core businesses. In case disaster happens to one or more FCMs and their operating systems break down, the Disaster-Backup Sharing System would take care of these FCMs’ business to make sure their trading systems operate in a consecutive, stable and protected way.
More than 50 FCMs attended the seminar during which Dr. David Li, SHFE CTO, explained about the risk management practices in the overseas markets.
