Shanghai Futures Exchange signed a memorandum of understanding with the New York Mercantile Exchange Inc. in an attempt to solidify the business partnership between the two organizations. Mr. Jiang Yang, SHFE CEO, and Mr. Robert Collins, Nymex President, represented both entities by signing the document in Shanghai at the end of June.

According to contents of the MOU, both exchanges will start the information sharing and exchange of staff visits on a continued basis, and further talks and discussions are sought in order to explore into the future cooperation areas of mutual benefit.
