China Securities News: Shanghai Futures Exchange and Liaoning Securities Regulatory Bureau Signed a Memorandum of Supervision and Cooperation

On August 11, Shanghai Futures Exchange and Liaoning Securities Regulatory Bureau signed a memorandum of supervision and cooperation. Both parties will strengthen communication for market information and regulatory information, further communicate and cooperate in terms of market supervision, investor education and training and other aspects, give full play to their respective advantages, and exert greater supervision and cooperation efforts.

Jiang Yan (Board Chairman of SHFE) points out signing of this memorandum is a specific move to implement the keynotes of keynotes of National Financial Work Conference and Midyear Supervision Work Symposium of National Securities and Futures Supervision Sectors and specific requirements of the CPC CSRC Committee, which is aimed to fulfill the frontline regulatory function, effectively synergize self-discipline supervision of SHFE and administrative supervision of Liaoning Securities Regulatory Bureau, practically improve the regulatory effectiveness, carry out prevention and control of market risks.

Liu Lei (Director General of Liaoning Securities Regulatory Bureau) points out signing of this memorandum marks a substantial leap of Liaoning futures market towards standardized and sound development, which will not only help Liaoning economy better highlight the contribution of futures market to real economy, but also fuel Liaoning economy take “fast track” of China’s economic development as soon as possible. Thanks to this good opportunity, Liaoning can work together with SHFE, and open up new prospects for information exchange, cooperation and win-win with SHFE.

It is reported that both parties will further clarify the division of responsibilities, strengthen the synergized implementation, and improve the coordination mechanism. SHFE will also sum up the experience in a timely manner, gradually strengthen the supervision and cooperation relations with the other dispatched agencies in other jurisdictions, and effectively comply with the requirements of comprehensive and strict supervision in accordance with the laws.
