I.       Delivery Unit

The contract size for aluminum oxide futures is 20 metric tons per lot; the delivery unit is 300 metric tons per standard warrant. Delivery shall be made in integral multiple(s) of each standard warrant.

II.      Quality Standards

(1)     Deliverable aluminum oxide shall conform to the specifications of Grade (designation) AO-1 or AO-2 under National Standard GB/T 24487-2022 with regard to main chemical components and physical properties.

(2)     Aluminum oxide underlying each standard warrant shall be of a registered brand approved by SHFE or produced by a manufacturer recognized by SHFE, and accompanied by corresponding certificate of quality.

(3)     Domestic aluminum oxide underlying each standard warrant shall consist of commodity of the same manufacturer, registered trademark, grade (designation), and packaging specifications, and have a date of production variance of no more than fifteen (15) consecutive days. The earliest of such dates shall be taken as the date of production on the warrant. Imported aluminum oxide underlying each standard warrant shall consist of commodity of the same manufacturer, grade (designation), production date, and packaging specifications.

(4)     The deliverable aluminum oxide shall be measured by net weight. Difference between standard warrant weight and actual delivery weight shall not exceed plus or minus one percent (±1%). Pound difference shall not exceed plus or minus three-tenths of one percent (±0.3%).

(5)     Each standard warrant for aluminum oxide shall state the weight and number of packs. The packaging for aluminum oxide shall comply with applicable rules of SHFE.

(6)     Standard warrant shall be issued by a Designated Delivery Warehouse only after its inspection and acceptance of the commodity or by a Designated Aluminum Oxide Factory Warehouse according to applicable rules.

III.    Manufacturers and Registered Brands Recognized by SHFE

Deliverable aluminum oxide shall be of a brand registered with SHFE or produced by a manufacture recognized by SHFE. The registered brands and the recognized manufacturers will be separately specified and announced by SHFE.

IV.     Designated Delivery Warehouses and Designated Aluminum Oxide Factory Warehouses

Designated Delivery Warehouses and Designated Aluminum Oxide Factory Warehouses will be designated and separately announced by SHFE.
